I got a P0420 code a couple days go and decided to buy a scan tool to make 100% sure its a bad cat before i replace them. I just shot this video this morning after driving the truck around for about 30 minutes.

I start off at 2000rpm, then go to 2500rpm, then to idle, back up to 2000rps then do a "snap test" i think its called (basically full throttle very quickly).

Do these readings seem normal? Are O2 sensors bad or is the cat(1 or both) bad?

See attached image - I see on my scan tool there is a CAT TEMP reading, but in everything i have seen online nobody mentions that or uses it to diagnose. Is this CAT TEMP reading something i should be looking at? I know you are suppose to use and infrared to measure temps before and after the cat and the readings should show hotter after the cat. Looking at these temps it shows the downstream temp is lower than upstream which doesnt look good to me. I would think that means the cats are dead?
