Manual hubs are the best part. Your CV's will last much longer.

Verify that the hubs on both sides are not sticking before the long drive home.
(the CV's should not be turning when truck is moving, while in 2WD)

yup my 95.5 has it. ( I got into the habit of calling it a 96 to prevent having to explain the ".5" )

They are AISIN hubs....toyota stock OEM locking hubs. Impossible to replace unless you find them in a junk yard and incredibly superior to Warn. I've seen several years with locking hubs. To my knowledge they were completely phased out in 2001

You're right about that one. I was on my trek home last night praying to god I don't encounter a deer. It had me thinking of all the nightmare scenarios that could happen and this truck is not replaceable!! I almost want to store it in garage, but then that just wouldn't be all that enjoyable.

Yup! Color is black. I should take a pic of the pedals. Looks like almost zero wear, stock rubber on these things.

The aisin hubs for Tacomas aren't hard to find. Not that you'll ever need to, the ones already on your truck are easily and infinitely rebuildable.

Thanks man. Crazy market for these trucks as you all know. Lost a couple by not jumping on them fast enough. Guy in NC where I bought it thought I was completely out of my mind.

For the time being, I plan on keeping it stock, maybe upgrade wheels and tires. Suspension upgrade sometime in the future, no lift, most likely Icon Stage 1 kit. I know, boring.
