I like the fact that you plan on keeping it mostly stock.

Yea thats my plan. I thought maybe i'd get some heat for that, but I'm a huge fan of these trucks and feel I can always get a higher mileage version to mod and do what I want with. I'll enjoy the time capsule for as long as I can.

Wow this thing is beautiful!! Definitely worth the 10 hour drive lol. I got my bed for my 01 from florida and it was practically new. What part of jersey are you from? Im in Hillsborough, maybe Ill see you around (or even wheel with you if you're willing to wheel this beaut)

lol this is spot on, its even worse when they lay the stuff down before it even snows. Like wtf. Its like they are trying to destroy everyones cars.

Yea after the trip, I'm beyond happy with the truck and well worth the drive. I live in North Jersey, so not sure if we'd cross paths but you never know. I spend a ton of time on the shore fishing so keep an eye out there!

Just found out today seller forgot to give me the original "tool kit" that came with truck. I'm unfamiliar with such a thing.

Ha well...its all fresh to me right now. Just happy to get a Tacoma back into my life. Trust me, I love my 4Runner daily driver, but this just adds a whole different element.

He can't be, cause I just drove up to New Jersey and met the man myself and drove it home when he wasn't looking.
Mr Court, it did hurt me to read how excited you were to use this truck, but I truly thank you for keeping it so very clean.

I plan to do some small mods to it, but after driving it home I'm completely satisfied with having such a beautiful stock truck that is as old as my gf!

That's a great truck, very nice find!

I used no less than five full cans of fluid film on my frame, and there are still some spots that I feel I may have missed. Three cans just wouldn't cut it.
My '00 came from Portland, OR and there is hardly any rust underneath it at all, even with 217k miles. I soaked everything with FF to preserve it for as long as possible. They use TONS of salt on the roads here in Pittsburgh. :annoyed:

Looking at that last pic of the engine compartment, the brake fluid looks old for sure, I'd flush the brake system for sure,,, how old is the coolant?

Yes, just yesterday and drove it about 220 miles back home and it was great.

And pulldo that's a good point. I'm taking it to my buddies house this weekend to check over so maybe we'll do something about the brake fluid and coolant. I did want to do some all over maintenance and fluid change because DC didn't have enough fun with her. But when I acquire a true gem I usually save it until it's too late and never get the most out of the nice things.
