I purchased my 2010 single cab 5 speed manual during covid, she was bone stock except for some ugly ass wheels and an ARE shell with some Vietnamese all terrain tires. I naturally overpaid but it only had 50k miles and absolutely zero rust (commiefornia truck it's whole life)

Right away I noticed how much the bench seat sucked donkey dick and I almost sold the truck (you don't notice some things on 10 minute test drives). The issue is from the factory the seating position is absolutely horrendous, it's pretty much a c channel, I don't have back issues at all but it killed my back so I even purchased one of those office chair lower back pads.

I went on Craigslist and found bucket seats to do the conversion but the piece of shit who sold it to me swore on his mom they were from his 2010 (which I needed them to be since after 2008 there's side airbags) anyway of course the scumbag lied and I sold the seats at a loss. Anyway like I said it was so bad I almost sold the truck but luckily tacomaworld literally saved my truck and I read about the bench seat conversion which is the best mod I've done (and I've literally spent thousands and thousands in mods on this truck)

Anyway after that free mod, I got rid of the crappy wheels and tires and went with the newer version trd pro wheels for the 4runner and 265 70 17 e rated Falken wildpeak at3w

My next mod was again thanks to tacomaworld the yellow wire mod which let's you keep the "lsd" in 4 lo

I forgot to mention while the truck was rust free and in good shape the paint was suffering from the notorious roof fading paint. I took it to raising star collision in chino California and got the roof and hood repainted. A few weeks later a scumbag stole my cat and keyed my truck so I got a brand new oem cat and repainted the entire truck

Fast forward to today the following mods are on the truck
    Lasfit led headlight bulbs
Rci aluminum skid plate and gas tank skid plate
    Bilstein 6112 5160s
    Camburg upper control arms
    Dakar heavy duty leaf pack
Oem metal coolant bypass pipe upgrade
    Wet okele seat cover
    Bench seat mod
    Yellow wire mod
    Total chaos fab bed stiffners
    Oem bed mat

Now here are my two most expensive mods (if you don't count the paint job which was $7,500)

While I liked the yellow wire mod I wanted a true locking rear so I went with the arb air locker, I decided to mount the compressor in my cubby in the bed and I wasn't a fan of the arb switch I wanted something that looked oem as possible so I put in a switch from ch4x4 which looks oem for the compressor and the locker

I had to purchase the switches, arb twin compressor, arb rear locker, compressor bed mount, extended harness, and compressor mount door and the stupid manifold for the compressor. So just for all that and labor cost me about $5,000

Lastly I put in a gfc v2 camper which cost almost $9,000
