Thanks Brian!! I really appreciate that. There is gonna be a lot of finish work but I think it will come out how I want it so I'm stoked on that. I ate some inn n out for lunch and got back to work and built the whole swing out. I'm pretty stoked about it!

LOL Love the photo of you sitting on it.

Curious how you plan to secure the spare tire/wheel? You going to just drive a cotter pin through the steel tube?

Looking forward to seeing it when all done. This is looking like a great project.

Haha thanks man. I wanted my wife to sit on it cuz she's way better looking than I am but she didn't want to haha. I was stoked how beefy that spindle is. The arm didn't even deflect at all with me sitting on it. And I weigh more than a tank of gas and a spare tire.

So I just wanted to see how it looked with a tire up there haha. What im gonna do is cut out a circle from 3/16" plate that I have and match the lug pattern of the wheel and drill the holes and weld in grade 8 bolts. Then I'm gonna weld the circular plate to the end of where the tire holder part is and then I'll secure it with some nuts. I'm gonna cut out another piece of 3/16" plate and gusset it under there for piece of mind for the tire holder part.

I really appreciate it dude! I'm having fun with it and hoping it turns out like I envisioned haha.

Smart. Wonder if you can match the thread used on the truck? Could find some locking lug nuts so nobody can steal your spare?

Yeah dude that's a good idea! Thanks! I have pro comp lugs on my method wheels and it's a special socket to unbolt them. I could get lugs like those so that nobody can jack me haha

Hahaha that's my garage for you! I had it out towards the front of the garage cuz a dude came to buy a fridge, that picture, and a couple of mirrors from me last night.

Thanks dude I really appreciate it. It's been a lot of fun working on it!

Hey Ryan, just another idea is go to a junk yard and take a hub off a wrecked taco. Already has the studs and bolt pattern, then weld that on. A little more work but just another thought

Hey man that's a pretty good idea. I really might consider doing that. I just have all this 3/16" plate sitting around in my garage that's saying "cut me up and use me for something!" Haha

Thanks dude!! I don't want it to be too flashy. I do want it to have some cool features but don't want it to look all crazy haha.
