Are you referring to the tires? There are 6 lugs on my tires. ( ohh btw thanks everyone for your replies!). It may be true that I'm suffering from the "grass is greener on the other side syndrome" :) lol
However, I do want to get new rims that are black and the bigger tires. I plan to put my snow tires on the current rims. Ugh that means I would have to sell the new ones currently on the truck...yuk! But I really want a little more height. I definitely don't want anything radical though.
This is the first time in my life I have been interested in the looks of my vehicle :)
So far...I got some nice car seat covers, f1 toneau cover, engine and window guards, & a quality rubber mat for the bed. I bought the rubber mat for the tailgate too, but that doesn't look like it will fit? without drilling holes in my tailgate and I am NOT gonna do that. ( got it from autoanything online)
I want to get something to protect the door handle area and the door sill. (Some chucklehead who installed my break-control already scratched that area!)
So, i'm just sharing... if anyone has anymore ideas please keep them coming. But please keep in mind, this is the first time I have ever had an interest in this kind of stuff. I don't understand a lot of truck talk and abbreviations :)

Yeah it is, an I could care less. I live between two retired people who have nothing to do but water their lawn and hand-pull dandelions. We're DINKs in a 3-5 yr home and I don't give a second thought to the lawn.

But nice callback to my post, anyway.

Okay please don't get mad at me...I did check Google and search forums and looked at the abbreviation definitions on this site....but all I found was tsb stood for "technical service bulletin". So can someone gently tell me what tsb means when you ask if my truck has tsb or 3 leaf? (Yes I am dumb!)

All that means is does the truck have 3 leaf rear or 4 leaf rear. Just count how many layers your rear suspension has, including the overload (upside down) leaf. Most stock tacoma's come or used to come with only 2 leaf plus overload, but if you are or were still in warranty and complained about a "harsh ride" when carrying a load toyota would install a new 4 leaf rear end.

The 2012's are supposed to have an "upgraded" 3 leaf pack that will not get the harsh ride complaints. In my Opinion if you dont like the rear leafs do anything other than have Toyota replace it. (they still suck)

    x2

the 245 has an aspect ratio of 75

    (I think) 265 offroad has 70

and the 265 sports (17 wheel) has 65,

so they are all within .2 inches of one another, hardly be able to tell the difference

Right, I get that mathematically they are nearly the same, my point is and was that seeing them back to back on the same truck the 265's actually look bigger. Trust me, I took pictures of each and the 265's will make the truck look better.

i agree with you, i was just confirming for those that think the 245 and the 265 are the big difference, even if someone had the same tires, just the rim design could possibly make it look bigger

I just did the math and 245/75R16 and 265/70R16 are different in diameter by 1.04" That would theoretically mean that the 265 truck is 1/2 the diameter, or 0.52" taller. It's not a ton but it can be noticeable. Heck, we agonize over the 0.85" difference between the first 2 bilstien settings...

My 265/75R16s are almost 1.2" bigger than my stock 245s were, and I can definitely tell the difference.

Yup! You're right. I looked at my Excel sheet and I subtracted the difference between 265/75 and 265/70 instead of 245 to 265.

I'm surprised there's an inch difference in dia between a 265/70 and 265/75! Really glad I went with 265/75 and not 265/70 now.

 yea good choice with the 265/75's

i read somewhere i think someone went with a 255/75 (or something like that) to increase height and reduce friction and save gas mileage. although the difference may be negligiable, i think my good gas mileage is partly cause my p245's
