Hello, i've been looking into audio options for 2012 tacoma non-jbl stereo and without changing out the stock headunit, i think i've come up with a good plan. Hoping for some help and opinions on set up.

    1. Install JBL MS-A1004 4 Channel amp with onboard DSP engine.

    - Does anyone know if i can get a harness to plug between the stereo and factory harness, so i can splice the wires into the aftermarket harness and not into the factory harness( due to warranty). This would make easily removable of any warrenty problems did occur.

    2. Installing new speakers into front doors, does anyone have ideas on good a speaker set up using this amp, i was thinking going with alpine 6x9 type R's

    3. Since the tacoma has roof speakers, which would fry if i hooked them up to the amp, i'm going to disconnect them. I may use the last 2 channels on the amp to either power a small sub in the back or install 6.5 speakers in the rear doors. This will be a future project after step 1 & 2 are done.

The reason for not replacing the stock head unit, is the fact i like the look and i want to keep all the factory controls and inputs (bluetooth, aux/usb, steering wheel controls) and for warranty issues.

Thanks for your help and opinions.
