Hasn't been confirmed yet but waiting to hear from my buddy here at work, who owns a 5.7 liter rumble bee truck.

Plans are to hit one of several 1/8 mile tracks next Thursday eve. 6/9.
We have ware shoals, shady side, greer and union tracks.

On the hunt for some go pro mounts and hopefully a friend or 2 to take video as well. @Daria ?

Still a few things to figure out, like whether I will have time to access my launch control settings at pre stage or just try and hold it at 3200rpm myself.

If it's your typical bracket racing, I'm going to dial in at 12.9. That's what road & track did it in so I doubt I'll go faster and disqualify myself.

I think Thurs nites are test and tune so it might just be open grudge racing with no bracket necessary.

Basically, I wanted to see what it's capable of before doing any mods.
Also need to get it on a dyno once before any mods.

I'm still in the loop with the guys at procharger and we're considering cracking the ecm instead of working around it.

    Good times......they are a comin.

Never made it to the track yet this year.
The track that is local to me had an incident recently where a gentleman was killed.

When ihra or whatever santioning body came in, they found that the runoff area was to short and shut em down.

The other issue is all tracks local to me are only 1/8th mile and thats not really going show the maximum capabilities of the the nearly 500hp.

So, either a trip to a 1/4 mile track in NC is in order or i'll start fresh next season on another local 1/8th mile track.

Catch can and some drag radials are on the next "to buy" list.

I was going to. Its done pretty good on my trips to the north for several years now. Even with the full time locker, I havnt had many issues but once during a 6 hr white knuckle ride a few yrs back.

But...indy just had a really bad ice storm and they are expecting alot of snow over the next few days. With traction control, ecs and a hefty 4000 lbs....it probably alot safer than my truck.

    Besides....if I total it out.....I can upgrade to a hellcat :)

No real updates on any performance parts.
Although extensive testing has been done for the D and W portion of the dws's.
Dry...is flawless. The traction is very good compared to the f1's.

Wet...amazing. this thing is glued to the riad in wet conditions. Unlike the f1's that would break traction in both light and heavy rain.

Some mods still on my list are:

Steve white ecm and 93 tune.
Kooks long tube headers with mids removed.
    H&R lowering springs. 1 in.
    Barton shufter.
Nitto 555r drag radials for the track.
(Going with a 10 in cobra r rim and 305 tires)
Speed logic catch can with z bracket.
    Front and rear petty supports.
    Spohn stabilizer links.
    Tint.

Lowering springs going on monday. Tint sometime this week.
Supercharger or turbo system will have to wait until after the warranty is over.
Setting back a few dollars from tax check for forged internals as I want to be able
to run more than 7psi boost without tearing shit up.
That will also have to wait until after the warranty.

I see a ton of people running Hellcat hoods and a few other doing the hellcat conversions on the scat packs.
I'm not into upbadging like that. If you wanted a hellcat...buy a hellcat.
If I could have afforded one....I would of. Sure its fat and needs a diet. Same as the Scat pack. I'll take
the plush leather interior and all my headroom and backseat room over a few lbs difference over the camaro and mustang.

Well....I seem to have a dillema.
I have an appt at the dodge dealer in the morning to have my lowering springs put on....... and now I'm having 2nd thoughts.

    Why?...idk.
I think mostly because the hellcats are dropping dramatically in price and will probably drop even more when and if the Dodge Demon turns out to be what they say.

So yes....i've been thinking about an upgrade to the hellcat. Which means at trade in, mine will have to go back to stock.

Meanwhile....after taking measurments this weekend, the wheel gap in front is sufficiently low enough for my liking. And although the rear gap has more than I care to see....it does give it a bit of a nice rake...which most all mopars back in the day had.

    The other thought was travelling.
My folks and most of my friends up home when I visit, live in very rural areas where the roads, potholes, snow, etc....probably wont play nice with my chin spoiler being 2 inches off the ground.

Anyway.....ive got 9 hrs to think about it while i'm at work this evening and i'll have to make a decisiob soon. Bleh.

I would upgrade if you can hellcats are dropping in price and I kinda don't see the point in doing engine mods and Forced induction just to get close to hellcat power and it'll be more expensive. Also hellcats have warranty lol
