    Wait.

    People DD these things?

I put mine in the driveway and wash it, I had no idea you could drive them. Hell, that changes everything!

Thanks, OP, you really opened my eyes to the possibilities!

You have to appreciate the joy of driving a slow car fast. Or, in this case, a truck. But I usually drive my slow truck slow.

Bought the 21OR as a daily driver - intended to move up higher into the mountains and while the GS350AWD was very capable in many situations, I just can't see it pounding through 6" of fresh stuff or 2' of drifts. My wife's DD is a 5th gen 4Runner (yes, we're Toyota homers), and the Tacoma is similar enough to the 4R that the transition between the two was almost negligible.

The Tacoma is not the same as the Lexus (other than familial heritage) and I never anticipated it would be the same - completely different vehicles and skill sets. I went in knowing I'm unlikely to ever be blazing up I25 at triple digits in the Tacoma, and I'm perfectly fine with that; people who bag on vehicles (or anything, really) not performing functions the item was never designed for have misplaced priorities.

Exactly. Kinda like bitching that your Honda Civic can't carry 800 pounds of 10' 2x4s home from Lowes.

    Ouch

Dude....some of the crazy shit I see in the parking lots of Lowes and Home Depot is bewildering. Can't tell you how many times I've felt my whole body cringe.....thinking that vehicle will never be the same if it even makes it home in one piece. Just hope nobody dies in the process.

Reliable, paid off, ICE COLD A/C, and just got a new frame; It has a few shortcomings, like shitty gas mileage, but at over 143K miles it is still better than most new vehicles they're building today!

Tossing around the idea of selling it and buying a new AC, but a 3rd Gen in the configuration I want is nonexistent in my area!
