I lifted my truck with 6" lifted kit from Rough Country and Installed by Texas Tires today. It's look so good at first but there is a problem is when I drive over 65mpg the truck started shaking so much. And the steering wheel was alignment but it's still go on one sides. Is anyone have the same problem

I am about to bring it back tomorrow. And I got the 35' tires too. Do I need to regear my truck?

Take it back to the installer. A 6” lift is going to give you problems. Especially with 35’s. Your stock differentials are going to hate you, as well as your gas mileage.

The shaking is probably from your tires. What brand/model tire are you running?

Some tires are really difficult to balance.

It’s called Rough Country for a reason.

sounds like death wobble like symptoms. Check torque on arms and bushings. Or could be you are binding the brake line and applying brake force to one side due to lift. I would go longer and better shocks all around instead of the RC ones which are poop. You have to cut the frame to install the cross members. Maybe they welded it in crooked. You cant really go to stock at this point either, so you are stuck with having to figure out the issues. And what do you mean by the steering wheel, makes no sense the way you worded it. Sounds like you need an alignment also is needed if Im reading that last sentence right?? Also what tires and rims are you running

Yeah , this is my first time lifted truck and I didn't know much about truck either just read the review on Google and look around who do lifted truck and one of my friends told me that go to "texas tires" so when I came they said They do a lot of lifted truck and I believed it. I let them do all the jobs and pick all the parts that they wanted. I didn't realized that lifted truck are a lot of things to working on not just the installed the kit and tires.

    That’s a good looking truck.

I’d go back and have them bring the suspension back to stock, get a more understated set of 17” wheels and 265/70-17 ATs, put the lift and showy wheels for sale on Craigslist, take the loss as a learning lesson...and enjoy the truck.

    Good luck!

    Things wrong with this:

    -Rough Country
    -6 inch lift
    - “I didn’t know much about truck either”
    :bananadead:

Honestly bro bro... get the lift taken off...sell the lift... do some quality research...and lift your truck properly.

The most you should lift a Tacoma with a suspension lift is 2.5-3inches(Max) without needed a long travel kit. And even then you will chase down vibrations in the driveline to get it smoothed out. The other option would be to drop $6k+ on a long travel kit that has new upper and lower control arms, spindles, etc. to properly achieve 6inches. Best advise I ever got was “if you cut corners (try to save $) lifting a truck, you will pay for it in the long run. Do it right the first time”. A rough country 6in lift = cutting corners. Your CVs, wheel bearings, driveline U joints, ball joints are not happy and will cost you much more to fix all of these things when they fail prematurely.

Just bring my truck back to the shop they said they will check it again and take time to working on it and find out what happened.

My lesson is I should do more research before do anything. I though "texas tires" was the good company and I just basically let them do whatever they think it good :(
