    Hi,

Yesterday I noticed that both engine check light and slip light, on my Tacoma 2010 6 cylinder access cab, turned on together when I started the truck.

I also think that the truck doesn't shift to the higher gear when gear is in "D". Because RPM keeps rising up to 3000 RPM at 120 km/hr.

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks

Last winter our Honda started shifting funny suddenly. We had been out of town for a long weekend. It ran fine when we left, but acted weird when we got back. I was able to drive it to a transmission shop where they found mice had built a nest on top of the transmission and chewed through a wire. A wiring harness was all it needed, but that was more expensive than I thought it should have been. Hopefully your problem is an easy fix too.

Do you have a mini-VCI cable and a bootleg copy of Toyota Techstream? If so, see if there are transmission-related fault codes. If not, take it to the dealer or a good independent shop that can diagnose properly.
