Sometimes I think people purposely put on their blinkers to fake turning so the other car can pull in front of then to get a pay off.

what i see happen alot is that someone puts their blinker on to turn right on to another street, but right before that street there like a taco bell or mcdonalds or some other business and the person waiting to pull out of the parling lot thinks the driver who has put their turn signal on to make a right turn is going to turn into the parking lot not the street located right past the parking lot entrance so they pull out of the parking lot.... bam!

I also wait for cars to pass by before turning left a stop sign/ intersection - even if they slow down and make it obvious that that they will turn. No hurry no problems ... Except when the idiots turn right without a signal and leaves you sitting there picking your nose ....

Glad everyone is OK, I do not trust oncoming drivers and there turn signals. I always wait until they commit to their turn. hope everything turns out for the good for you.

That sucks. Would that be considered a total loss, or typically would that be fixed?

Why? The youngster turned in front of her cutting off the right of way.

She didn't do anything illegal. He did.

Technically no one did anything illegal.. One person just tried to turn thinking they had enough time while the other decided to change her mind. Just an accident of confusion, nothing illegal. What I want to more about is how she managed to take out the other truck too...

"This is why I never pull out in front of someone even when their turn indicator is on."

This, NEVER trust a blinker/turn signal. Wait ten or fifteen seconds for the car to complete whatever they are doing....the older lady did nothing wrong other than change of mind, that is why I NEVER trust a blinker...your friend turned into the oncoming traffic....

Think how many times you may have turned on your blinker and forgot? I have done this numerous times, especially when merging on the freeway, the auto click return doesn't get activated because of not turning the wheel far enough to activate the flipper, the noise of the wind overrides the blinker clicking......

Bummer on your wrecked vehicle, it will all sort out sooner or later....dang on the two for one..hope the lady recovers. most older drivers are much more cautious than young pups, I used to violate spaces on the road in my younger days because of impatience and inexperience....most of the time I won, but there were a few times when I lost....just sayin'...

Gonna take some time, but it will get fixed, that is what insurance if for...

How she hit the other truck...

Where the wreck happened there is a gas station, I saw it happen in my rearview mirror, turned around in the gas station parking lot and parked in the grass at the bottom of the hill (top of the hill is where the wreck happened) She must have let off the break or hit the gas, came down the hill taking out a stop sigh and hitting the front of my parents truck.

Failing to yield the Right Of Way is contrary to what the Law or Rules of the road state. She had the right of way regardless of the turn signal.

    I'll leave this here:

    Illegal

    il·le·gal

adjective \(ˌ)i(l)-ˈlē-gəl\ : not allowed by the law : not legal
: not allowed by the rules in a game

    Full Definition of ILLEGAL

: not according to or authorized by law : unlawful, illicit; also : not sanctioned by official rules (as of a game)

It's amazing how easy it is to flip over these Tacomas.

Any chance that the step bar slider aided in flipping it over?
