Offer #2 from the city of Seattle came in today. $200 more than the last one. This is getting old. I will call them tomorrow and say what the actual fuck. I have been avoiding being a total dick, since I work for these fuck heads too. I'm kinda over it. if I turn it over to my insurance it will probably derail plans for upgrades. Dammmmmmit.

IMG_0345.jpg The line that says "prices and labor are based upon prices and fees charged by a number of qualified repair facilities. So how many estimates do I need to get? Because this still doesn't even matched the lowest of the 3 I already got. Fuuuuuck youuuuu fuuuuckers.

I think I'm going to leave them for now. I have all the material for the rest of the bumper. So it must be time to disassemble the front end. Oh wait, I'm still waiting on the city to pay up!

Leaving for Coeur D'Alene tomorrow. Still can't do any off-roading since my truck is STILL messed up. So lame. Still plan on meeting up with some folks from TW and Overland Bound. I have another trip planned for the beginning of August, hopefully I can do that one.

Longest drive to CDA ever! 7.5 hours. I love how Washington DOT thinks holiday weekends are the best time to tear up half a interstate.

IMG_0359.jpg Took the canopy off this morning for an elevated viewing platform. Looks weird. But kids like a parade. Coeur D'Alene on the 4th is awesome.

I would like to share a proud parent moment.

This evening my wife was telling me how it's to late in the season to join the local csa fruit delivery and my 4year old chimes in with "fucking neighbors". At least in was the right context. Parenting fail for sure.

I'm pretty sure it was my wife's doing. At least that's my story.

Thanks. It's nice to have it on the truck even if there is a bunch more to do.

There's always more work to do... Every trip go on, I end up coming back thinking "this needs to change, that needs to change, have to fix all these other things" it never ends!

Really like all your home built stuff though! And dclb ftw! I just got a little mig welder so I can get more of my projects done!

I have a hard time spending money on stuff I can make. I think th only exception so far was skids. That came down to time vs money.
