My Tacoma is a LX. Is that different from a Sr5?

I think they got rid of the lx in 98. I think it was first base-lx-sr5 then they went to base-sr5-limited.

But i think on all the levels you could option on everything if you wanted

 

The owner purchased pretty much every option when it was brand new.i don’t see this being a base model truck

 

Think there is chrome inside as well. And a different rear veiw mirror. Could be wrong though

 

Okay it has the non chrome mirrors thank god.but I read on the paperwork it had the better mirrors with the small bubble on it for towing

 

Yeah they were an extra suprisingly.

 

I just didn’t think if it had cruise control and all that,that it’s a base model bone stock

 

Well lx is 1 step over base. But u believe you can have a base with everything if you wanted.

Do you got a sunroof? That wasn’t standard on any level. Was a add on. So you could have a limited with everything with bo sun roof but then find a lx with everything and a sun roof.

 

I think it’s a LX with everything but the sunroof.There is no map lights on the mirror.

 

So the map lights sound rare

The thought the sr5 (Sport rally 5speed) basically just had a upgraded suspension, and a few more options ( cosmetic wise?)

 

Sr5 was all cosmetic while trd was suspension. Atleast thats what ive read

 

When I ordered my 93 it's a sr5 dlx sr5 gave me gauges n bucket seats the dlx gave me a better trim but had to order dlx to keep manual windows in the sr5 package of the time, n no ac.

Well the question now is what is the difference in trim with the dlx and LX.Ill take pictures if you want..

 

My trim looks the same as a first gen with ever option in my eyes.besides having the old school waves of decals on the doors like a old Nissan
