    Ryan most people don't air down for snow afaik...,..ya wanna cut down to where you get some grab lol
    Now off-road Arctic adventure is another matter. They ride on balloons I think.

    the real question is: are you supposed to air up or down for snow/ice?

    Different people have different answers and nobody seems to agree.

    Unsalted road ftw gotta love the south! Airing down makes the most sense cause you get more surface area on the tire

    loved the video and music, airing down would only help with deep snow offroad, where you want flotation to stay on top and keep from high centering. On icy snowy shallow snow on-road you want to keep inflation normal I think

    That's what I was thinking, but then I've heard people say that airing up the tire helps bite through the snow and get to the pavement. Then they say airing down causes more floatation over surfaces causing you to slide everywhere. Idk man.

    Also, they didn't salt the roads there? They did here in TN.

    Looks like the sedan left it in park while you were pulling it. lol. Repo duty.

    and some of those vehicles with their tires should not have been driving in the snow in the first place.

    as for airing tires down, if you do not have winter tires made for freezing temps/ice, then yes, airing your tires down can help. Its a balance between enough surface area to bite, combined with enough pressure /sq inch to gain friction. Winter tires are made from a softer compound, with sipes that give more biting edges that are flexible on the surface. Airing down non-winter rated tires, might give you a more flexible surface, and put more edges on the surface to gain traction, but if there is not enough psi on the surface, then that will limit the available friction.

    Just for future reference, it's easier on your diffs to tow going foward. Gears are only cut for foward strength.

    and less risk if something were to break off the towed vehicle its going to come through the windshield at you.
