Got in the truck this morning to go to work. Turned the key, click, click, click. No start.

Checked/cleaned the battery posts, no dice. Checked voltage, 12.53VDC. Jump started with wife's Subaru. Checked voltage again, 13.85VDC, little low, but still above 12VDC. Drove to dealer, who said this was a normal characteristic of the vehicle. Ok, not really. They changed the battery under warranty.

Can I qualify for a Lemon Law buy back?

Batteries and heat do not like each other. I would pursue the lemon aid act based on that reason.

Not for a battery. And 12.45v is a dead battery not 12.

It has been hot here the last few days. Should I replace the water in the battery with lemon aid or just pour it on top of the battery?

Can you even fill a battery with water anymore? I thought all auto batteries sold now were not serviceable items.

I would like some lemonade with this

Submerge the battery in watered down lemonade to keep it cool.

i would go with lemon flavored gator-aid. The extra electrolytes add at minimum 5 horse power

This is true. A healthy battery is between 13.5 and 14.5 (while running) At least that is what my LED plug in volt meter instructions says. My battery runs at 13.7 w/engine running.

You can have all the voltage in the world with no amperage. Checking just volts is pointless.

Battery while not running was 12.whatever I said earlier VDC. This would be perfectly fine voltage for a battery that is not being charged by the alternator. Still doesn't tell how many cranking amps it has, but jumping it off does.

Running after jumping voltage was 13.85VDC indicating the charging system is doing it's job, though I'm used to seeing a little over 14VDC on GM stuff.
