The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Maybe it is enough for them to take notice and make it permanent.

Brought the truck in today to the dealership due to the battery going dead. BTW.....on the way I had to get gas and had to get a jump to make it the rest of the way. Dealer tells me bad battery and I should be fine with the new replacement. No cost.....just a pain to have this issue with a month & 1/2 old truck. We see if it holds up.....for how long?????????

Is that the stuff that is left over after cooking meth? These new fangled technologies are lost on me. I went to look it up on my phone and then remembered I don’t have a data package. So help me out here. How do I blame any of this on a Turd gen? Can I lemon my phone because I chose not to have data? What is the TSB to have my battery replaced? Must be Corporate Mike’s fault somehow. I am heading down to FCA tomorrow and demanding they give me his new extension at Toyota. I am pretty sure if he is as bad as they say he is Chrysler is keeping in contact so they can hire him back. Stupid turd gen. Wait what was this thread about again? I didn’t have Electric Kool aid so I ate a 9 volt and washed it down with Gatorade. Why is everything covered in rainbow polka dots? I am perfectly happy with my truck (oh crap did someone hear me?). Third gen is getting sold as soon as the Nitro methane Super Raptor ranger comes out. The room is spinning. Wait where am I? My Turd gen valve caps aren’t gold-plated. For 40 large my valve caps should be gold-plated. I let some air out of my Turd gens tires to go off roading. The air wasn’t scented. For this kind of money I want my tire air to smell like strawberries. You know even the Kia has scented tire air. I bumped into my buddy Clint and he said he was hanging onto his Gran Torino because the only howling it made was when he spun the tires. Maybe that is the issue with Taco’s. So much HP they howl the tires which people mistake for the diff and that explains why it doesn’t accelerate like a Raptor

My 1979 first gen did 0-60 in 5.1 seconds.

It also got 30 mpg going uphill with four flat tires.

This is why the turd gens aren't selling and why resale values are going to plummet.

Which reminds me, the air conditioner in my 2017 is way too cold. Dealer told me this is normal. When I turn the dial on the fan it makes a lot more of a "fan" noise......kinda like a "howl". Then I have to turn up the stereo. That's a lot of knob turning in a $40k truck. My right wrist now hurts.....

    Anyone else experience this?

On a slightly more serious note, has anyone pop started a 3rd gen manual? Seen some chatter about how it can't be done on newer vehicles so I'm curious. I remember on more than one occasion helping push my Dad's prizm to get it started :muscleflexing:

Yes they will fit but only after you empty the battery. The extra weight of the acid will cause the truck to squat and rub your new tires. This was never an issue with the previous gens but Toyota really screwed this up with the Turd gen. If you swap the stock battery out and use 8 AAA batteries and mount them in the cubby to the left of the steering wheel it will work as well. Make sure not to use lithium. You will need those to make Electric Kool-Aid (see above posts).

Woodrow you are my new favorite person for creating this thread. I can't remember there EVER being this much fun on TW WITHOUT someone raining their negativity down and ruining it for everyone. Big shout out to the MODS for being pro-active and removing the thorn. I am however afraid it may return but then again I am not privy to the decisions regarding the Ban-hammer.

After all of the fun we have had I hope we can continue this forward regardless of what THE ONE may do in the future. I stopped visiting and participating as often due to THE ONE. I am glad I returned and got involved in this thread. Let's keep the positivity and fun going regardless of others and their negativity.

Problem is I mounted my shift-sense-pro in my cubby so no room. Guess I just gotta scrap it, or, could mount the battery in my RTT after fitting 20" spinners and an 8" leveling kit.

Just mount the batteries in one of the cup holders. There's like 17 of them or something.

^^^True! My wife's 2009 Highlander's battery is still doing its job. It is a Panasonic too and has served us well for several years now! My Tacoma's battery did not last a year and was replaced under warranty.
