You should get rid of it and get something you like.
I had one truck four years, 60,000 miles. Real pretty truck, but, I never REALLY liked it. So when I got rid of it it was no skin off my back. I had another truck for 1 year, had to get rid of it and it made me sick to the stomach as I watched it drive off down the street. 20 years later I still see it around town every once in awhile. Its getting long in the tooth looking, but still wish I had that truck.
I think this one will be like that one.
You should really get rid of yours and get something you LIKE.

Where in the world are you coming up with the new Ranger being based off a unibody Taurus platform?

I don't think the truck has any feelings about it.

Right. My truck won't shift above 5000rpm in 'S' mode. The dealer had me drive another one right off the lot. It did the same thing. When we told Toyota, their response was "if the second truck did it, then that's normal". It is NOT normal for the truck to go to the rev limiter instead of shifting. ....and I pity the guy who buys the one we test drove that had 6 miles on it when we redlined it a couple of times.

You have to manually shift in S mode. What does the manual say?

How can he be waiting on a ranger when he stated he would not be lifting his tacoma until his extended warranty runs out. That contradicts the waiting on a ranger.

If you think the Ranger is going to be as good as the Aussie version I bet you will be wrong. Next thing you know bitching will ensue about the Ranger then you will be sitting behind the wheel of a Ridgeline.

Wait to see what Ranger looks like and if it sucks, trade for full size is a possibility. Either way I'm not getting rid of this truck until I have 3 or 4 years of equity and miles into it. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

I keep up with you for sure so I can point out to others when you make your occassionally blunders. Like waiting on a ranger and lifting your tacoma when warrant is out. Which is it thats two different stories.

I test drove my truck, bought the truck i test drove, and 3 weeks later really like it. It's a little slow, but if i'm in a rush i change how I drove.

Other than that, i think it's perfect. It sucks that almost every thread about 3rd gens is bashing it. If anything, hurting our own resale
