I do, at time, wish that I had gone with the Timberland Mica instead of the Pyrite Mica. Then I look at mine and can't tell that I haven't washed it in weeks and feel better about my decision. Both sick colors! That looks good.

As for your southwest question, I've never wheeled there so I can only say what I've seen in person and online. Definitely hit up the Sedona area. Lots of trails (and pink jeep tours) and the hotel we stayed in looked like something out of the Flintstones (and I think it was like a Best Western or something like that). The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is on my list, but the road is closed during the winter so that kind of depends on when you get there. I've heard good things about the Superstition mountains in AZ too.

Going the direction you seem to be going, I'd personally want to drive through the Sequoia National Forest, Napa (for a fancy night), maybe do Alcatraz (buy tickets in advance. They sell out months beforehand). Hit up Half Moon Bay to see if Jaws is breaking. Head over to Death Valley and explore a few trails there. Find "the Racetrack." Hit Vegas for a night, drive over the hoover dam, do the things in AZ. Head up to Utah. I think the Garden of the Gods is somewhere along that drive. Spend some time in Moab. Then over to CO and spend an equal amount of time in the Ouray area. I believe there is some really cool stuff to see in Durango area and I've been through the Gunnison National Forest area. I don't think you can spend enough time exploring CO. Nebraska and Kansas are the two most boring states I've ever driven through. Skip those if at all possible. I'm also not very familiar with NM, but you can camp and do cave tours in Carlsbad. Texas is mostly private land, so not much there. I would definitely check out Big Bend State park, but the national park is also cool (try to find the model t). There are a few other state parks that might be worth checking out, but I'd spend more time driving through Texas than actually exploring it. Depending on the time of year, Schlitterbahn is a kick ass waterpark in New Braunfels that is river fed.

I'd spend a night in NOLA, but skip the rest of Louisianna. The beaches from Gulf Shores, AL over to Panama City, FL are absolutely goregeous. I would highly recommend the drive on hwy 98 between Pensacola and Seaside (where Truman Show was filmed). There are some other really awesome unknown gems in that area. From there, I'd head up and spend some time on a trail with the Alabama crew before heading over to Georgia and then onto NC.

Ok, i've fantasized enough about an epic trip of my own. I'll stop there.

If you're still near Duluth & feel like heading north, Ely, MN is right near the boundary waters. It's an awesome place to take kayaks or canoes, can do multi-day trips from there. If you haven't been to Bent Paddle Brewing Co in Duluth, check it out!

Glad to follow along your trip- we just did something similar. If you're planning on heading near Nashville, where we landed, you're more than welcome to stay at our place, do laundry, drink homebrewed beer, and have a guide to the city.

Cheers, and happy traveling! Following on IG now.

If you make it to the bluegrass OP, be sure and tour the Bourbon Trail (where real likker is made :D ), there's plenty other scenic areas as well, that can offer wheeling, some are just cool as hell. Land Between the Lakes to the far west bordering with TN, Red River Gorge in central KY, Mammoth Cave National Park north of Bowling Green where the Vette Museum is, Black Mountain in southeast KY near Harlan, and Rush Off Road in northeast KY where I reside. Lots of cool shit in Bardstown and Bowling Green, Lake Cumberland and Cumberland Gap areas are gorgeous, make a stop at the OG KFC restaurant in Corbin, and I guess you could see some horses and lose money in Louisville and Lexington, too.

You come to Rush, I'll gladly guide you and help break some stuff!

I'm sure we'll plan a trip somewhere that month. The TN thread is pretty active (actually wheel) so stop in there and see what they have going in December.
