Absolutely! Not too far from Moab. You will not be disappointed. Awesome remote camping.

Let me know if you swing through Central/north Idaho. I am located in Grangeville, Idaho. We will be elk/deer hunting every weekend September-October but we can point you two to some cool areas to explore/camp.

The largest fresh water shark was caught in a lake. In Maryland of all places. We only have one lake and it’s a small man made lake. So I’m damn sure there is at least one shark in one of those huge ass Great Lakes. Lake Superior is like 1200’ deep. There’s definitely a shark in there some where.

I’m very curious about Idaho. Some pictures look like a forest, some a desert.. kinda like Colorado but kinda not.. looking forward to checking it out

It’s a unique state. I wouldn’t live in Colorado. I lived there for a few years as a kid and then close to the border of Wyoming and Colorado. My wife and I avoid it like the plague. I am a small town kinda guy though.

Just wrapping up posting about three Idaho trips we did in July...feel free to check them out. Definitely varied terrain there - desert to the south, forest to the north.

Don't skip Arizona,, you can spend a life time there and not even come close to hitting all the trails.

BTW, No sharks in Arizona, just man eating rattlesnakes!

Wisconsin is about avg. to live in. Housing is not bad. A hella lot of farm land. Winter SUCKS! If I could move anywhere it would probably be Texas. Visiting Dallas area in Nov. to get the daughter married off and off the books officially. Good Luck in your journey, have fun.

Hey! Change your route a little bit if you can, don’t go straight up north on the 75. Head west and take the lake road north all the way around to traverse city.

The lake view drive is a great drive and you’ll hit dunes on the way. I’m in Farmington. If I could take you off roading I would, but there aren’t places near me.

well, obviously if its your first time hit the Grand Canyon, if that doesnt blow your mind nothing will, then hit some of the fire and logging roads around Williams and Flagstaff, tons of public lands to camp on, then head south towards red rock country in Sedona, again tons of trails to explore with lots of camping. Then continue south into the desert, the Tonto National Forest which is basically desert has more trails and country then you can possibly see without actually living there. Take your time and enjoy the beauty of driving from alpine country to the desert floor, just remember its very hot in the desert this time of year.. Have fun and enjoy my home state. Be safe.
