ok.. i found it. it was just a UI bug. the actual health of the enemies was not going back up.

those armored bastards are tough! but i would add a speed up game button or something of the such. pretty fun game though. i like the simplicity. some TD games have become too complicated

I really like the fact that you can adjust the targeting system on the towers.

i think level 28 still needs to be fixed. even on "easy", the armored guys are essentially unaffected no matter how much lead you pour into them. ditto for level 38. they seem to lose health then get it back.

great game though, man. i'm totally addicted.

another suggestion, make it so the game does not pause when you click on a different tab in the window.

I have yet to get past level one, so I may be a bit redundant. Saw this thread 5 mins ago.

I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of tower defense games. So maybe I can share aspects of each of the games that I liked and aspects that I did not.

If you have android, take a look at Robo Defense. That is my favorite one to date and it has a lot of somewhat unique features all in the same game. Another good one is ZoikZ on Miniclip.com.

Here are various things I have found on a few games that I like..

1)on some levels placing the towers is what makes the map, so you can design your own maze for them to fight through.

    2) Multiple paths through the same level, with multiple entry and exit points. So you are fighting on two fronts.

    3) Air forces and air defense. Would be a lot of work to add though.

    4) Area of Effect towers, Like an EMP type wave or something.

    5) Paths that are more than 1 unit wide, so the bots can attempt to avoid some towers only to get hit by the ones on the other side of the path.

    On yours I like,

    1) Programmable towers, never seen that before. Adds more dimension to it.

    2) Your noises, funny lol.

I think you are off to a great start, keep us updated as the game gets updated.

i think that is a flash thing. when ever you switch focus to another browser tab, the flash movie clip pauses.

    awesome.... thanks for your feedback.

    1) ya. that makes the best TD game, but it is also the most difficult when programming the pathing AI. starting out, thats what i wanted to do, but i decided on fixed path for simplicity.

    2) done :)

    3) actually, this would be very easy to add in this game. although, i have always hated flying enemies in TD games :)

    4) ya, i had thought about that and it is something that can be done fairly easy. with aoe and air towers, i could double the number tower types.

    1) thanks. thats what i have always wanted whenever i play TD games.

    2) :D

i got past level 28, but i was not able to kill any of them. did you hit level 38 yet? they are similarly unaffected. i have not been able to eliminate any of these armored guys at 28 or 38 even with a ton of the purple range guys out there. once all the armored guys on level 38 escape, it's game over.

if you click on the enemy, you will see its health and armor. in order to damage the armored enemy, you will need to do more damage (in a single shot) than the armor amount. so, if the armor is 10, you will need a tower that does at least 11 damage to hurt the enemy.

a level 1 jab tower does 5 damage, so it would not damage an enemy with 10 armor. but a level 3 jab tower does 20 damage so it would do 10 damage to an enemy with 10 armor.

so beating the armored waves requires towers with higher damage. you can also use the cripple and sap towers to slow the enemies down to give your other towers more time to damage the enemies.
