I really love how your towing mirrors turned out. I've been wanting to do something similar for my truck, but I just haven't been able to find the time. If you don't mind me asking, but where did you get those mirrors? I've just been having trouble finding them myself.

If you are asking me where I vot my mirrors, i got mine at 1aauto.com. Just go to it put in your truck info and go to mirrors and youll find them. If you have a 1 gen taco then you will not find them. These mirrors are for 05 to 12 Tacomas only.

The power mirrors from 1aauto, how do they work with the existing power adjusting controls? Which button would make it flip out? Can you still adjust the mirror itself with the controls? Thanks

EDIT: I think I answered my own question by actually reading the site  The flip out is manual but the mirror adjustment is powered. Is that right?

I just got and installed the set of power heated towing mirrors from 1AAuto as well. The install went great, and I used the heated mirror kit and switch from another member on this site...up2nogood. Great kit. I also now have turn LED's on the mirrors which is neat. They seem to be factory identical to the ones being sold by ProEFX - though the ProEFX version was more $$$ (no group buy was going on at the time) so not sure if they're really the same, but I am certainly happy with mine. Towed the trailer with it this weekend for the first time up to the campground, and it was so nice being able to see behind me on the highway, and especially nice that I was able to back into the site dead on the first time, since I could see where I was going! I did not experience any issues with vibration at highway speeds with the mirrors in either the up or down positions...I am sure there might be some vibration, but certainly not enough to make the mirrors unusable. The poster who made those comments must have done something odd or had a bad set. I also looked at the Tyger mirrors and almost went that route, but could not find any real reviews here - so if you do install them "Elevated" let us know how it goes and what you think of them...I am sure others would be interested. It's nice that there are some options at least since Toyota doesn't make a kit for the Tacoma (you think they would want to...).

I just installed a pair on my 2010 and they work flawlessly. I did not get the heated versions. It took me about 35 minutes to install both sides. The power works when they are down and when flipped up, exactly like they should.

    Update on Tyger Mirror install.

Installed both mirrors in about 25 min. On my 2012, everything is plug-n-play (except the heated feature since my truck didn't have that originally). The LED turn signals work great, and the auto mirror adjust works flawlessly. I'm very happy with the setup. I was worried about the mirror adjust feature working properly with the mirrors flipped up and folded down, but it is automatically compensated for. In other words, you can use your stock mirror adjust feature the same way when the mirrors are flipped up or folded down.

There is more vibration in these mirrors when flipped up compared to stock, which was expected. However, it's not as bad as I expected. Overall, I'm very happy with these mirrors, and even more happy with the price ($294 out the door on Amazon).

Yeah, I read that thread as well. But the mirrors are now actually made for tacomas. That was an old thread too.

30 minutes to install. Very little vibration on the highway.

I have been looking everywhere for a "contoured (real glass) blind spot mirror" to fit in the corner of a 2016 ... or ... an OEM replacement mirror with a BSM attached.

I still think the Tyger, EFX and 1AA Auto mirrors are all the same and probably made in the same plant somewhere. Anyone know the truth of this? If I had seen Elevated's write up before I would have bought the Tygers for the better price - the only reason I did not is that I could not find a single review (so they should send Elevated a case of beer for solving that problem...). In any event, this is a great mod and one you should seriously consider if towing.

Hi all, I am ready to pull the trigger on these mirrors. Is 1aauto.com the best place to get them? Price seems about the same everywhere however I just get nervous about buying online from sites I am not familiar with. I also want to make sure I am not getting knock off versions. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a 2 year old set of these in perfect condition. Let me know if you're willing to consider a used set. Was wanting to trade them off as I didn't need the money but seemed like no one has on hand what I'd like to trade for. PM me and we can work out a price and I'll just buy what I'd like.

I am not against a used set by any means. I just don't know how we could both feel comfortable buying/selling to a stranger over the Internet. Also I am going to fall into the same spot you are with having to do a lot of modifying to make the turn signals and heater work.
