    nothing cool
I know a lot of people gave ya crap about your clear wrap. But with your zoomed in pictures of your tail lights you cant even tell theres a wrap. Thats pretty impressive actually. No bubbles and the paint is super shiny. I like it.

If it makes you happy that's all that counts. Mine makes me happy every time I pitch it sideways, who cares what anyone else thinks. I'm watching the Barret Jackson auction right now, wondering how those cars look so good after 50 years. People like you is how. People like me is how cars end up in the junkyard with chunks of rusty roll cage tubing piercing the sheetmetal. (That's a compliment, nice truck, I like the color)

Either way I am envious of your build and would love to go playin around in a truck like yours, but I am trying to keep this one looking new while still enjoying where it can take me

OP I like the way your truck is going. SO much that you should trade me haha.

Don't let the wrap haters get to you man. Like you said can't please everyone. In the end its your truck and your money that you worked for or earned or inherited. whichever.

Everyone will always have different opinions on how to spend.

    It's looking good though.

    Great looking truck, OP.

Looking forward to seeing what you're doing with the audio system

Wow! I'm not going to lie I'm getting jelly of your cash flow into this truck! It's going to only get sweeter to watch as it gets bigger.

PS: With this kind of budget you need boost!! I sense a TRD supercharger in your future.

I didn't figure anybody on a Toyota forum, specifically a Tacoma one, would recognize Audison equipment at all.

As for the supercharger.... I'm not ruling it out yet ;)

I've only heard of it by reputation. That reputation is good. We have a few independent custom audio shops in the nearest mid sized city. I've seen a lot of various audio equipment over the years. I'm glad to see you're keeping the stock deck yet using some tech to get rid of its output flaws. That's the way to go to get a professional looking and sounding install, not the usual one or the other, IMHO.

Sadly I could only afford some low end Alpine stuff I managed to score attached to a deal for a TV. :pout:

love the truck man, glad you achieved a goal of yours. as many others have said, i also would've personally put the paint protection money into a ton of other shit but thats just personal opinion. when you get the stereo installed you should upload a clip in the thread, sounds like its gonna be pretty bad ass.
ALSO, you should DEFINITELY get a super charger, with the look of the TRD Pro its just begging for one to be installed. keep up the good work.

Yes, he is! I've worked with Lamin-x a lot and know how difficult these tail lights are. Glad to see a good installer

I'd also venture a guess that if you got rear ended with this stuff on your tail lights you would probably be getting sued. The driver behind would just have to say he couldn't see your tail lights because of the tint on the lights.

Maybe not sued, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if the insurance company says "go pound sand." Even if you're not at fault, the other car's insurance company would fight paying out since you f'ed with the tail lights.

That being said - My other car's tails are blacked out. I'm aware of the risk, but do it anyway.

I did it on several cars, just not worth the risk today with having kids, a house, and responsibilities. It does look awesome.

I'd hate to point out the obvious but he kind of is... It's a special edition color available for only 1 year on the last model-year of an outstanding truck. I'd pay that kind of money also to make sure my truck lasted as long as possible.

    HAHAHAHA!!!
    Good one. :)
Like the rest of our mass produced run of the mill TOYOTAS, they will not appreciate, they will not retain their value. Caring for it preserves it only for you and the next owner. They are a tool, not an "investment". One day they'll all be the same rusted junk regardless of what badge or grill is on it. It's just a vehicle. No different than a Honda really. :)

I'm getting scolded for possibly hurting people's feelings so I'm going to stop posting here. :D
