I was just giving him a suggestion of what to look for. Sorry to bother you.

No bother at all, but I think OP was interpreting one of your posts as a suggestion to install shims (or the carrier bearing spacer kit) if he had a sagging back end.

    I read it that way.

But yeah, a really bad sag for a long enough time could theoretically put pressure on the u-joints and cause wear, it would just be in the opposite direction from the pressure a lift would create. OP could rule this out by providing his hub to fender measurement.

Hopefully it’s just a tire or wheel problem.

I have the 20-30mph shudder. Dealer says torque converter and it needs a new transmission. 5K.

So I just got out of work and on my way to pick up my kids from school. I’ve noticed that when the truck is cold, it does not do the shaking between 20 to 30 mph. Once the truck is warm, it does tend to do it while accelerating only. I’m still gonna go home and still grease up to u joints.

    few things here and there.
Honest question, I’m not the OP, but if this does occur… what does that mean? I’m experiencing that myself.

I have read that some folks have had success with a transmission fluid change. It's pretty severe and I'm skeptical that a fluid change will fix it. Maybe.

    Hi y’all,
So I went home yesterday and I lubricated the five different you joints that there is under the truck I used Mobile 1 synthetic grease and this seem to work. Praise God. I wanted to thank everyone for all the information and feedback they have given me. I will keep everyone posted after the holiday weekend to see if it was a permanent fix or if it comes back. I wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving to you and to your love ones.

might try lubricating the slip yoke. my truck clunks a lot on downshifts especially when cold and can also feel like a vibration. from what i read it's the slip yoke clunking around.

Glad that worked... I’d plan on replacing those as they have gone way too long without grease. If you start feeling the shake again replace them. Otherwise they may fail on you altogether which can lead to more damage.

Awesome to hear, glad that worked for you. Its always nice to see someone fix something themselves for free instead of throwing away thousands of dollars at a dealership for pointless work.

    Good morning y’all
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Just like I said I would keep you guys up-to-date. It seems like all of the information that I got especially the one about greasing the U joint was the successful one. I think God and I think each and every single one of you guys for being such an extreme help to me. Words cannot express my gratitude to all of y’all. Being a member of this forum is such a blessing! Hope all of y’all have a great blessed wonderful day in Jesus name.

super glad that helped; thanks for reporting back with your fix, most never do. If you want to be an extra rare blessing to the rest of the forum, go back to your first post and edit with your fix. It'll save someone lots of time and reading in the future:thumbsup:
