Hey all. My truck just hit 160000 miles a few days ago and I was wondering if there's anything that I should do to care for it. Regular oil changes have been made and I got the gear oil changed about 20k miles ago. Thanks!

Did you ever change the timing belt/water pump?

How long do those last? Cause I did that when I did the gear oils

Hmm what about the suspension? I'm sure the stock suspension would be tired by now.

I am at 170k and have been wondering same thing. I was having a issue where my truck would lose power when I let off the gas, then went back on to it. I talked to a guy at a local shop and he said to check my TPS sensor. We took it out and cleaned it and problem is gone. The thing is, is all around my truck seams to have better power response, better acceleration and just generally running a lot smoother. I didn't even realize how much power I was loosing. So maybe check your sensors to make sure your getting all your air and fuel correctly, you might be surprised how much better it runs with good feedback to the cpu and you might not even realize you have lost the power.

I have done timing belt and water pump and rear diff oil around 120k but have not done suspension and have a new fuel filter, just need to install once i get on my feet again. (ACL replacement surgery)
If I am going to replace my suspension should I go with OEM or after market? I have TRD and do some off roading during the summer months. No real 4 wheeling just smashing logging trails in the mountains. Thing is it is still my daily driver for work which is usually a 50mi round trip depending on where the jobsite is. I was trying to hold out till I can get me a company truck before doing suspension as well as other stuff too so I could do some real 4 wheeling but that will have to wait.

Hm I'll have to look into that! Many people swear by the Bilstein 5100 for this truck I've never used them though. I've had the rancho quick lift and they were great until I added the heavy bumper and winch which the struts didn't like much. I'm now running the Toytec boss system and loving it!
