Who weighs what they load into your truck? Unless your trying to get an entire patio of paver stones home in one trip most of us just load her up and go.

What's next, driver weigh in every service? If we gain weight they reduce carrying load by that much?

Well this will be interesting, my truck is a pig with all steel sliders and skids, even on the tank and differential, a platform in back, heavy cap and second battery. Not as much as those with plate bumpers, so maybe just 5 lbs over instead of 7lbs.

Gas is about 6lbs/gal. There’s your method to keep it in check:D

I got the same thing on my 2010 Prerunner. Said that the TRD wheels on mine weighed more that the stock wheels.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
What you people don't seem to understand is that these stickers are. They are known in some places as "CYA stickers" (cover your ass) . These are for one reason, to protect Toyota from over-zealous lawyers. Lets say you have a accident carrying a big load and somebody tries to pin the reason on your load's weight. Toyota can say they warned you about the load capacity therefore getting them (manufacturer) out of the "blame-game" lawyers want to play these days. Of course no one wants to take responsibility for THEIR OWN actions, they want to find someone else at fault for their own stupidity.

    wanna be mods
Mine says less 11lbs. but I imagine that has to do with the original aftermarket wheels and tires the dealer/factory put on with the 3n1 spacer/block lift.

Went with SCS 17s with 285/70 and saved over 54lbs...do I get them to recheck it (I am being sarcastic!) so it shows "extra weight capacity"

The only reason I can't breathe is from laughing too much when I saw it. 10 lbs? What a joke!

I found that with a google search, my Taco from Oregon has it so I assume it’s a federal thing.

WTF!? Seriously? I just took mine in for its first service and I didn’t see one. I’ll have to go and look harder now to make sure...
