I’ve seen similar stickers on other cars I’ve owned. Seemed silly then and now. I’ll look at the truck when I get home.

So come to think about it, my truck came as a DCSB OR 2017, by the time I bought it last May 2018, it no longer had the raptor steps, but still had the Pro Comp "package". Perhaps that has something to do with the 11 lbs.

@Casper66 thanks for making that point on wheels and tires, didn't think about that in terms of payload capacity vs. gross weight of vehicle.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
They are put on at the "ports" when they add (or not add) accessories. Mine had a "0" sticker added as I had no options on mt truck that were not factory installed (I had "tow pkg. as my only option). What was stupid with mine is that it sat at the "port" in Kansas City for 2-3 weeks for no additions.
That must have been a very hard sticker to put on as it took them that long!

It’s confirmed, my truck is a pig! It came with tube steps and a tonneau cover and gained 44 lbs.

Has anyone asked to get a pro rated refund from Toyota? 10lb divided by 1600 lb, times $40k is $250.

Also the sticker wording is wrong and/or dumb. The load carrying capacity is completely unchanged. You just already have some load.
If you have a 100lb mod, and get a 100lb payload reduction, suddenly you can haul 200lb less stuff legally (and lessened the value of your truck by $2,500).

Having a lower rating doesn't magically mean your current payload weighs nothing now lol.

Yours wouldn’t happen to be a Pro would it? Looking for a grille and need a VIN ;)
    JK...

My pig weighed the same 44 extra lbs. with a Tonneau and tube steps when I got it new.

It's not worded wrong. The Mods added to the vehicles curb weight since they are for technical reasons permanent as they are bolted on. So the load capacity is reduced because Max gross can not be changed. It's a sliding scale. Increase vehicle weight by XYZ lbs. Load capacity has to be reduced by XYZ lbs.
these stickers are added at the dealer after they're done putting on all the extra bells and whistles that empty your bank account. Mine is 4lbs since I got bare bones except for tie downs and carpets. If you have running boards it will be much higher.
