About a week ago my truck just shut off while driving and I didn't know why caused it so I just replaced the ignition coil and now it starts, but won't stay running. When I changed the coil i didn't take the distributor out I just took the rotor off so I don't think the timing is off. And when give it some gas it dies really suddenly. Someone told me that it might be the cam sensor. Idk when the sensor is at. I have a 95' 2.7l L4 can someone please help me. I'm trying to get it fixed before the snow storm next week here.

MAF sensor? Try cleaning it with brake parts cleaner.

Do not use brake cleaner on the MAF.

    Only use MAF sensor cleaner.

Done it plenty of times with no problems. But of course a dedicated, part-specific cleaning solution may be the better option.

I’ve always heard that the chemicals in brake cleaner will eventually destroy the sensors.

    unless you get non-chlorinated(?) cleaner.

Yes the chlorinated kind is worse, but any brake cleaner can still leave a small amount of residue, but again, never had a problem myself....but it wasn't something I did regularly like maintenance or anything. Just when it started to get wonky like OP's problem.

So I got it running. Apparently one of my plug wires broke off in on the plug so I spent about 2 hours trying to get that our carefully. I went and got new wires and went to start it and it started but is running really rough and pouring white smoke out of the exhaust and idk why it's doing that any ideas?

From my experience with backing support from the almighty internet, usually that would mean you're burning coolant. Which entails something is FUBAR. If you catch it now though, you may be in for a cheap repair and not a large expensive paper weight.
