Yup, just like the title says.

    He destroyed my rim.

Ok, not exactly attacked, and not exactly a ninja, but hear me out. I was on my way home from SEMA and before the 8 hour drive got mind numbing, I decided to do a little prerunning. I found a great little desert road off the highway. My laptop is acting retarded, so forgive the fact it's raw video and not edited.

Anyhow, after a long strait I came in a little too hot into a corner and just barely got the ass of the truck off the road. Ended up a little sideways and crossed up and the left rear tire went off the road just far enough and ran over a couple bushes. Unfortunately behind one of those bushes was a ninja disguised as a rock.

Said rock hiding behind the bush:

    Different angle after passing it.

I have a full size spare, so I was back up and running in about 15 minutes. Kinda sucked because the trail was only another 1/4 mile. Either way I finished it off and made it home. The tire looks ok, but I only gave it a quick once over as it started raining pretty good and I just wanted to get the spare on. All in all it's not really that bad. $100 later and I'll have a new rim and be back in business.

In this instance, the road was completley random. It caught my attention from the highway so I pulled off to get a closer look and just drove it. Oddly enough, this one even showed up on my gps.

Some of the other trails are marked on maps if you have a map for the specific area you are in. Otherwise, it's just prerunning.

Take a closer look Eric. The tire is fine. The rim broke into 3 pieces when it hit the rock. It's certainly low psi now :D

It's actually in California, but yes it's parallel to 15. It's on the North side of 15 (Mojave being on the south side of 15).

i know that but if you had lets say 32 psi in the tire and you hit a rock with your tire you wouldnt have hit the rock with the rim, but if you have 15 psi and you hit it it could probably contact the rim. thats why i was asking:) silly boy

Ahh I see what you're saying.
I hit the rock pretty damn hard. I could have been at 5 psi and would have still hit the rim. That being said I was at 25 on all 4 corners and in 4wd.

Exactly. Shit happens. I try not to overdrive my truck, but whatever, it happens. Rims are cheap and experience is good.

If it wasn't starting to rain pretty good, I probably would have been. But I saw it broke and was like oh well, get the damn spare on and get out of there.

Thanks man. Rims and tires are replaceable. :D

wow your truck handles great, comes out of those turns nicely with 4x4.

Shitty about the rim, i try to pre-run at around 25-30 to. Nothing you can do about it sometimes.
