this footage is from a thinkware q800 pro. I did have a viofo a129 duo IR in the truck at the time too but the rear cam for that is a uber style infrared camera that watches inside the cab. I dont think it was plugged in though because I was also testing the new viofo A119 V3. I normally drive my 07 prius to visit this city to save on gas and not have to park my truck in sketchy areas (which is basically everywhere in this town that I would be in lol) but since i was testing cams in the truck I decided to drive it up that weekend instead.

That sucks too. I have been there. I painted a Saab for my wife to drive, I fixed everything wrong with that car between the bumpers, and even made a new headliner. There was a lot of mechanic problems too, and all of it was fixed. 3 days later she was at the local bank and I was riding shotgun, where she parked and went in. Some kid with a 4x4 full size chevy backed into the Saab, and when he got out to see all I could do was grunt. It took me 20 minutes to be able to form words LOL My wife thought I had suffered a real stroke ! I couldn't speak at all just grunted and she insisted to ask me questions like 'Are you alright ?' Should we go to the hospital ? I was steamed bad ...

When I first got an iPhone back in the day I was so excited to capture an Oprah look alike juke a Carl Winslow looking cop, while wearing flip flops. Round and round his cop car they went, until she faked right and ran off. I could hear her flapping away. The cop did not pursue. Also it was in Compton. So rad.

    depends on your budget.

currently the cheapest one I would recommend with a good parking mode is the A129 Duo from Viofo. It is getting a software update that adds buffered parking. with a hardwire kit and memory card you're looking at around $200. there are cheaper 2 channel systems with ok video quality but not very good parking mode. if that price is still too high I would check out the aukey dr02. its quite a bit cheaper and the parking mode isn't advanced like the A129 or thinkware and blackvue cams but it has decent quality video for recording while driving.

thinkware and blackvue are my two preferred brands. blackvue's entry level model is probably the best of those two brands budget cams, but you'll spend upwards of $300 all in all for their budget dr590w-2ch cam with all necessary accessories.

this Q800 pro in my video is $400 with the front and rear, i can't remember if that includes the hardwire kit. i typically recommend people buy the cheapest bundle with the smallest memory card and then buy a memory card separate because its much cheaper that way. samsung pro endurance cards are cheap now and made for dash cams or security cams.

on the high end the blackvue dr900s-2ch is 4k front, 1080p rear, and has the most advanced cloud feature too that can alert you of impacts during parking mode if you have a hotspot in the car thats on when the car is off. they have a 4G enabled model coming soon too though which will be much easier to set up but will require a subscription.

Yeah I’m pretty happy with the BlackVue except the annoying ad on the app.

Which rexing? Isn't it only one model that works with the adapter?

Looking at the video and the shadows before the hit, it appears it's the woman at the beginning of the video, half cut off at the edge of the frame. After the hit, the same apparel appears to match.

There are very few decent cams that can use the gopro mount. the best ones all use their own discrete adhesive mounts. I made a top dash cams video last november or december. its long and boring like all my videos lol but i go through a lot of information on why i like or dislike the cams, more than just talking about the features:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5TRmtdOyeg

currently my fav cams are from thinkware, the f800 pro, or q800 pro, or from blackvue the dr590w-2ch, dr750s-2ch, or dr900s-2ch. All of these are high end cams that are easily gonna be $250-500 including the hardwire kit and a big memory card. the dr900s-2ch is the most expensive high end one but its probably more than most people need anyways.

but one of the newest cams from viofo is gonna turn heads. it just came out and i have one on hand and will have a review soon. its the viofo a119 v3. its only a single channel so no rear cam, but its $120 with a 5mp sony image sensor for great quad HD+ 1600p video, with buffered parking mode. its not AS advanced as thinkware or blackvue, but for how cheap it is its a great deal and really closing the gap between chinese and high end korean dash cams.
