Bcm upper, complete aero 16inch upper, aero bcg, aim surplus BCG NiB, stinger supremecy 12inch rail, faxon 14.5 inch barrel 556 1:8 twist perfect for what I shoot. Waiting on comp to come in so I can build it by Saturday

Just out of curiosity. Are you allowed to build an AR pistol in California? I built mine last year with a SIG brace and it has a 10.5 inch barrel with a noveske flaming pig attached. Basically an SBR minus the tax stamp.

 

haha well when I get those its because they are extra long to make pulling them out easier which was one of my biggest pet peeves in my last ar

 

As long as your lower is a pistol lower and not rifle lower and you have a brace not a stock you're all set! If you had a rifle lower and normal stock you would need the $200 tax stamp

 

Forgive me, I didn't phrase my question properly. I know I'm good in my state. Glad to hear California isn't too strict on that too. How miserable are those bullet buttons though? I hear they make guns fully auto lol

 

haha so have you heard of a raddlock? Its a bullet button that can be changed to make it normal. So that and some bump fire and you're all set! haha

 

Got the 14.5 build finished but ran into some problems with the rail I put on. Barrel nut wouldn't torque into place like I wanted so I went to the very minimum torque of 30 ft lbs and lined everything up but the rail. Off by about a 1/32 of an inch or so I decided to order another rail from a different company. Worse case I put on of the two on my third build.

Going out to shoot today and never checked headspace so a little worried about that but my barrel and upper are quality, tight fitting, and the BCG is from a reputable source. Ill be posting some pics of all the fun later this evening or tomorrow.

Brownells currently has dpms lpk for $49. I just installed one in my build (after doing a little trigger group polishing ::my preference:: ) and I'm very happy with it
