This morning as my wife backed out of the garage she hit my Taco with her Highlander :censored:...I was so F-ing pissed I just went back in side the house and came back to see the damage after she had left. Looks like she scratched up and scraped my color match fender flare to the black plastic. I have no idea what damage her vehicle has.

I think I can fix this myself or is it possible. I'm sure I just need to get some dupicolor matching paint, some clear coat, dont know what type of primer and/or adhesion promoter and what type of sand paper to use.

Any help or advise would be great!

    Oh no

At least it sounds like the damage was minimal. It could have been worse.

Just trying to find the silver lining

Hopefully it will be an easy fix...

Time to get a new wife.... Jk

I have tried paint filling with duplicator and it's freaking hard, sand the area around it first with some high grit paper like 400. Clean the surface very well. If it's deepmput filler in it. I would use a primer as well. Then wet sand it smooth. Clean the area again and paint with duplicolor and let dry. Wet sand that with 600 or higher grit paper to get rid of the orange peel effect. Then use a buffer with compound to make the paint high gloss smooth... It take a lot of work and more patients, don't rush it or it will look like crap....

The wife did this to me.

I was backing her car out and took out her passenger side mirror. She was so pissed off and said that I had to replace it with money out of my account.

Two weeks later, she was backing my truck out and took out my driver's side mirror. I calmly told her that it was ok and then I replaced it with money out of OUR account.

My wife keeps hitting stationary objects! An S-10 (not too mad about that) a snowbank that took off the back bumper, and the side of the garage about 2 times!! I am going to sell her Rav4 Limited and get her a freaking skateboard. I have put too much money into puting that dang SUV back togeather and its not even two years old.

I suggest you take her keys away from her and sign her up for some driving courses.

Tried that, dont work. She has been driving over 10 years and never had a problem until I got her the Rav4. $10k car no problem $30+ hits everything. SHe was really pissed when I said "its hard to dive when your heads up you ass!", but I thought it was funny.

Doh! I hope you at least get some special "favors" to make you feel better. My wife as a $60,000 car, 2 accidents in less than a year. My truck cost less than half of that and only one tiny door ding from some asshole. I'm just sayin' that I'm seeing a pattern here.

You need to read Chris4x4 post on how the fight started. This would fit well.
