So this morning I go out to mow the lawn and I find my wife taking something out of her minivan. She leaves the door open like usual and a breeze pushes the door into the side on my tacoma. Yet again another dent in the side.

My wife is truly a one woman wrecking crew. She averages three accidents a year. There are 8 actual dents in the sides of my 2012 taco from her. I have tried changing how we park, I park as far from her as possible, the only other option is to street park which I really don't want to do.

Besides a divorce anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking of putting some rubber on the van doors, At least if she hits the tacoma it might mitigate the damage. Don't really care how it looks on the van, it is a piece of shit that has so many dents from her it is amazing

Running boards or rock sliders..... Ones that stick out past the surface of the door.

I have OEM running boards and they're great for door ding protection.

Park elsewhere or have her park elsewhere would be obvious.
    Assuming you're kidding about divorce.

I swear my wife tries to break the door window whenever she shuts a door. Her Impreza, my Tacoma, the house.. doesn't matter. No window in the door? Shut it harder to try breaking any nearby windows.

Having said that, the rubber idea is a good one. And at least your 'dent' cherry has been popped, now you can go get some dents/scratches on the baby while offroading without feeling bad.

It sounds like she don't respect your things. Start breaking things that she values.... See how she likes it.

Make her park in the street.

Have running boards already, unfortunately the shape of the van door allows it to clear them

She doesn't get the love of the car/truck. They are just things to be used. And she is absolutely clumsy. The first month she had the minivan she took out the neighbors mail box, hit a parked car and hit the giant yellow post at the bank, the giant bright yellow one, yep she hit that

That's what I get for marrying a red head

Edit: She's a red head. I take it all back. She can do what she wants.

U could linex the whole thing. (Raptor liner is a dyi spray on that is a much cheaper pretty easy alternative as seen in my Sig and other profile pics)

My wife parks on the left side of the garage - just the garage wall to hit. If we go out and I'm driving I let her in/out outside the garage.

Perhaps I will put the rubber guards on the doors. Then I should mod the van for safety. Perhaps some caution tape and a few dozen reflectors for good measure

Take the van off her and let her walk. Or make her pay for all the dent repairs on the Tacoma and explain to her that you are trying to keep it in good shape and she has to be more careful or keep paying for the repairs.
