I had this posted for more money and had lots of interest (here and on other forums and selling websites) but nobody pulled the trigger... pun intended. I'm making it available to everyone now for only $410 cash local pick-up or $425 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

First person to post "I'll take it" here and them PM me for payment details gets it. (note that it's still listed across multiple locations so timestamps will be used to determine who was first)

I recently sold my Tacoma & pulled me rifle rack to use for another project. I have since decided to go a different route so I'm going to sell the roof rack that has been quite popular making the rounds over the internet over the years. It's nice because from the outside of the truck looking in you don't really notice it. You have to know it's there and kind of duck your head down and look upward to see it otherwise it's pretty much hidden in plain sight. I've had people ride with me for 10 minutes or more and never even notice it right above their head. Most criminals peaking into your windows will be looking down for valuables, not up.

This will bolt right into an Access Cab by removing the little plastic coat hook thingies to access the threaded bolt locations in the roof. I would imagine that it should be able to be fit into the grab handle location of the Double Cab too but I don't have one to check. The system is fairly flexible though so I don't see why it wouldn't be able to fit since you're just utilizing existing bolt locations in the roof. This could probably even be fit to other vehicles using similar methods. It's not really rocket surgery. I will include the brackets required to permanently attach this rack to the roof via welding but would require dropping of the headliner to install this way. I'd recommend it though if you have the time & resources.

The parts used to create this were a Santa Cruz gun lock & buttstock bracket coupled with a telescoping rack by BigSky. These are all parts you find in law enforcement cruisers so they're very robust and made exactly for this purpose. For my setup, I then wired the 12v release mechanism into the AUX output of my DEI (Viper, Python, etc.) remote start/alarm system. This output is meant for a trunk pop and is pretty ubiquitous if you have an aftermarket alarm system which would be a good idea if you plan to mount a long gun in your vehicle.

Once tied to 12v output on an alarm system, you basically press and hold the "AUX" or "Trunk" button on the fob which releases the gun lock. It was angled in such a manner in my truck that gravity did the rest. It also includes a lock key if you want to manually open the lock. Ideally you have a 12v release mechanism as I've described above for this setup. For an extra $30 I have a 12v adjustable gun lock timer from Santa Cruz that's meant to be hidden and activated remotely which will then send a 12v signal to the lock for an adjustable amount of time. As long as you angle it properly so that gravity will simply drop the lock this isn't necessary as any 12v momentary switch will do. If you would like to change the angle for some reason you would need the adjustable delay switch which will allow the lock to be opened for whatever pre-determined amount of time you choose.

Know your local laws before storing a firearm in your vehicle. In Colorado, for instance, it's completely legal to do so. The only Colorado law that would apply is an old poaching law that's still on the books that makes it illegal to have a round chambered in a long gun. As long as a round isn't chambered though you're good to go.

$410 cash local pick-up or I will ship on buyer's dime for $430 shipped.

I do not. If it's an access cab the quick method is to remove the little coat hanger hooks in the back. This will give you access to threaded holes you can use. If it's a Double Cab you can remove the rear grab handles to access similar bolt holes. For a more secure install (which I didn't do) you can remove the headliner and have two brackets welded in place which I can include with the rest of the parts should the buyer want to go that route instead. I always planned to do it but never got around to it. My guess is the buyer will likely be fine with the first method I described as well as it worked just fine.
