    Had a customer of mine find that one of his front skid plate bolts were loose. Every time he hit the brakes a loud clunk would occur. Hard to pinpoint a clunk, you can't rule anything out.

    Stick a pry bar in the mount, pry up and down. If it moves, it's likely to be bad. My noise was actually the stabilizer link.
