    Mystery button on 2015 Tacoma

I just bought this truck and the guy I bought it from has no idea what this button went too.

It lights up sometimes when you press it in.
I tired chasing the wire but it goes to a clip which runs into the harness.
The truck doesn't have any kind of light bars and there is no visible change that I have noticed when the button is pressed. Any ideas?20221105_000200.jpg

Well that's a new one. I assume it's a power, ground, and switched power maybe? Does the back of the switch have any chips or anything? If there's no control module plugged into it it couldn't possibly do anything.

Looks like a button for an aftermarket alarm or remote start system.

That style button/switch is usually an aftermarket alarm system.

Is there an extra wire connected to the positive end of the battery?
