Why do people like AC's better than DC's? Ill take that second row of seating/space any day. Plus DC's look 10x better IMO

AC's are a great form of punishment for those you may not like. Throw someone back there for an hour plus trip, guaranteed you will never have to drive them anywhere, ever again.

My son was not a fan of the jump seat in my friends truck we rode in for a small wheeling trip.

My father in law has an AC. I like the look of em and for someone without kids its a homerun, but damn I sat in the back "seat" for a good hour trip, that 90 degree seat back is a real killer.

Meh, Isn't all the items that make it a PRO stuff you can just buy and bolt on?Wouldn't really sweat it OP. You can buy aftermarket items that will outperform the OEM stuff anyways. I don't think you will be slamming on rocks with a TRD PRO skid plate.

Turns out the Carfax report is wrong. I went to the Tacoma Owners site and found out. Its not a Pro and yes this means I paid too much. I'm not very knowledgeable about the different models of the Tacoma I just believed the report. Unfortunately I used that info when I put in all the parameters on the Kelly Blue Book site. Probably payed $3,000 more then I should have. Not happy, Any suggestions about what to do about this ?

Well you could contact whatever association governs motor vehicle sales in your area (if there is one) and get their advice.

Was it also advertised as a "pro"?

I wanted an OR with a 6' bed, so I bought an AC cab because they don't make a DCOR with a 6' bed.

At least 95% of the 2nd gens listed as pros aren’t. As others have said, you can bolt all the pro (or better) stuff on easily but a real pro will hold its resale value like a beast.

Given how rare Pro models are, it may even turn into a collector’s truck

Nothing to do. Buyer Beware is the golden rule. The only way out is Maybe If they advertised it as a Pro and you can document it and it isn't a Pro... However it may not be worth the effort. If it wasn't a Toyota Dealer they might have been in the dark also.

Go back to the dealer you bought it from and confront them with the facts.

Do this as suggested. I think theres a chance that a Toyota or reputable non Toyota dealer will make things right if its falsely advertised as a PRO. They could refund the difference or buy the missing PRO accessories. Have the dealer run the VIN to confirm the model.

Unfortunately, unless you are a true Tacoma enthusiast, I doubt the majority of the buying public knows or even care if it's a PRO model.
