Hi all, 1st post. I recently bought a 96 LX off marketplace. got a great deal on it and many of the issues it has I've been able to address immediately (new rear leaf springs, CPR on front, shocks all around, shoes and bell cranks in rear, new fuel tank straps, and a few others). it will still need cat and rear O2 sensor replacement as that was straight piped.

as I discover other issues, I'm seeing a mystery electrical connector above my transmission. can anyone point me to what that is supposed to connect to? I am not seeing any apparent issues with the 4x4 engagement or transmission, so maybe it's for a more optioned up truck?

    thanks!mystery electrical connector above trans.jpg

May be the upstream O2 connection?

possibly, but the exhaust is on the other side of the transmission from this connector and there is an obvious cut harness from where the previous owner hacked out the rear o2 sensor and left it hanging.

    thank you for your reply!

What is connected to the B1S2 connector under the passenger seat?
What is connected to the B1S1 sensor on the Ypipe?

B1S1 is the upstream O2 sensor and is "seemingly" intact and working. B1S2 (downstream) is just a cut 2-wire harness, thankfully after the connector. it is generating occasional CELs. the exhaust runs down the passenger side, which I'm sure you probably know. this connector in the picture seems to be tight to the left (driver's) side and top of the trans. i can get some pics if it helps at all.
