    Yup, part of the glovebox. IIRC it goes on the right hand side between the box and dash.

    A Toyota tech jerked my glove box out for whatever reason, and broke the upper damper mount. I found the damper just dangling loose a week later, after the glovebox spilled its guts on the floor. The mount is a flimsy piece of crap, and part of the dash plastic, so it can't be replaced.
    I fixed it by inserting a small plastic push pin into it with some hot glue. Works great! :thumbsup: I try to keep big and little things fixed, maintaining the value as much as possible.

    I think I did it three times. The third time I did it, it popped off and it's been in my glove box ever since. Don't see the value in having it attached.
