Any idea what license plate bracket is in the picture? I’m looking for one to accommodate a Factor 55 flat link and that does not block the light bar on an SSO slimline bumper. Thanks for the help!

Just dropping by to say that its my opinion, this is the most aesthetically pleasing short bumper on the market right now.

Thanks, James_Bond. I agree and have certainly enjoyed having it, although it was a bit nerveracking to cut on a brand new truck with less then 500 miles.

Thanks, Castle. I think that one might work, but I don't think that it's the one in the picture. SSO says it might be the Warrior Products' hawse bracket, but I don't want to pay +$50 for something that I'm going to bend all around to make fit.

Did you ever find a solution for mounting your license plate? Any pictures of the bumper with the license plate?

    Thanks!

Do you have a picture of it installed with the plate down? Those are about $100 right?

That's the plan, I'm just making contingency plans in case that Johnny law hassles me.

Yeah, I never had a front plate on my M3. Got pulled over plenty for speeding, but never got a plate violation. I doubt I'll get bothered in my Tacoma.

Another trick is to keep the plate with a broken bracket in the car. If you get pulled over, just tell the cop that someone in a parking lot pulled to close and snapped the bracket. Waiting on a new one to be delivered.

Yeah, I went with the Tuffy flip-up holder from Amazon (see link above); however, I installed it upside down due to angle of the slimline bumper. We just ran some of the gravel roads in Big Bend NP and did the White Rim Road in Moab last December and the holder never budged. I just flip it down when I need the wench. This is not a good option if you have a Factor 55 link or thimble, otherwise for roughly $25 you can’t beat it in my opinion.

Back when I lived in Washington I carried the front in my car. I got pulled over once and told them someone parallel parked in front of me and ripped it off pulling out.

Nope, pretty sure it was for speeding and well deserved. I had a lead foot. Fortunately, I've grown out of it. Even when getting tickets for the speeding, or warnings, I never got a license plate violation.

It's pretty common for people around here not to have a front. I'd say 1 out of 5.
