I discovered this leak yesterday, but I have no idea where it is coming from. Please help.

    I have mods
Clean it up with engine degreaser and hose it down real good. Then drive some so you can get a better idea of where the leak is coming from.

I can't even tell what part of the engine or what engine that is from the pics. They don't really help any.

Probably should have specified, this is a 3rz in a 99 Tacoma. The leak is on the same side as the headers.

X2 those valve covers are sneaky. Make it look like these engine leak from other places. I’d check that out first.

Can you get a less zoomed out picture? I've tilted my head 10 different ways and can't make heads or tails of where i'm looking from.

That side of the engine has the oil pressure sender and the oil filter on it, both have a good chance of a leak.

Do your oil filter housing o- rings as well while ur there. Another possible culprit

I've looked in other places, the leak seems like it might be higher up, but that picture was taken right below the oil filter, on the passenger side of the motor, if that helps

+1 on checking the valve cover out first. Odds are that’s what it is. Easy fix

Just replaced the actual oil housing orings that attaches to block rite above the oil filter housing.

This kit you need if in fact it's leaking from there. I'd replace regardless

Yeah you’ve got to look for the highest point of the engine where you see oil. Sometimes it’s easier at night with a flashlight. Valve covers are notorious for needing a replacement and usually leak out of the lowest corner of the engine which is usually in the rear on the exhaust side on 4cyl engines (right where my 08’ engine leaked from the valve cover).
