Here's one for all of you detective geniuses out there on this forum. I have a wet spot on my passenger seat about the size of a coffee saucer. It's a 2013 access cab with 54000 on it. Never wrecked, no roof racks etc.. It sits in my driveway all week with windows rolled up and the doors locked. No visible bullet holes or anything like that. I get in it after it sitting for a week, and I have a wet spot on the seat. Headliner dry. It's been raining, but I live in Oregon's Willamette valley. Any ideas? And don't say park it in the garage, because I still need to drive it outside, right?

If the truck sits parked, the water likely is coming from almost directly above. Is your driveway slanted? If you are parked on an incline, could it be enough of one that a leak in the windshield is dripping onto the seat? Best experiment to try is park it where you regularly do, get a dropper with water, and figure out what point on the top of the cab would make that exact spot wet.

What part of the seat exactly? The very center of the seat, near the edge by the door, near the front edge?

My money is on the edge by the door. I'm curious if the side of the seat back is wet too.

Some wet spots are no mystery. This is not one of those. No pets, kids, wives or girlfriends. And no drinks. Seatbelt dry, as is headliner. Flat driveway. Truck hadn't left this spot.

Oh. The spot is near center of the seat bottom. Some told me I might have a critter in my truck. I don't buy that. 1) it would be too large to miss. 2) it should be dead with no food or water.

take a friend to a car wash, tell them to get the wand and go full bore on it. sit inside and wait for water droplets to appear. make sure your friend tests every inch of the truck. tell them to apply soap so you can "see where the cabin is leaking when the pressure escapes" like a tire with a hole in it. turn the air on for maximum bamboozles. buy your friend a beer for being cool and washing your truck.

Your headliner would dry much quicker than the seat. my guess is its coming from the roof under the weather stripping but that's just a guess

If the truck was a double cab, this could be a problem. Access Cabs don't have roof rack holes.
