Fellas...the other day I was changing the oil and was checking things out while I was under the rig. I noticed that the hardware for my N-Fab step tubes looked rough. When I installed these last summer I assumed the hardware was stainless steel. Sure doesn't look like it after being on for a few months. I put some grease on the threads when I installed them...so the bolts came right out and the threads didn't look too bad. But still...they had to go as far as I was concerned. A trip to Lowes netted some fresh stainless bits & peices to replace the crusty crap. I've got some info below on size for those who might be interested.

So if you have an N-Fab product, have a look and see what condition the hardware is in. If it's nasty you might want to replace it with some true stainless parts before it causes any issues.

    New hardware:

Bolts are M8-1.25. The length can be 25-30mm. I went with 30 to ensure good thread engagement. I thought the supplied bolts were a bit short anyway.

Fresh lock-washers and washers. I went with 5/16 for both.
