Just use this thread that you just wrote to go back to, to look at my thread as you need. Don’t forget to contact N-fab for the brackets to that bar.

Appreciate this thread. I have this in my list as my next mod. So a 32 inch light bar fits?

Thank you, and yes. A 30 and 32 inch lightbar are one and the same.

How much extra are the special brackets from NFab?

I am going to order this mount regardless but just want to know.
    Thanks.

they were free! Hopefully by now they have started to just include the brackets with the Tacoma light bars. But yes, they were free. All I did was call them.

Yea, I've used them in the past. Since the part is basically the same price everywhere I am going to use 4Wheel to get rid of the card I would not use otherwise. They had a grand opening to do at a new location near me in Maryland and I got to hang out with some other Md members of the forum. They had a hot wing eating contest and I came in second and the prize was the $50 gift card. Plus if shipping is not free when I order I can always just drive there to pick it up.

Oh, I know what I wanted to ask you Doug. Is your light bar straight or curved? Mine is straight. I hope that doesn't make a difference.

On a side note, does anyone really ever win at a hot wing eating contest! LOL that’s a pain train I don’t care to ride! LOL

Cool, I saw the other one on here and it is curved and I thought maybe I got the wrong one. Of course I was initially going to hide it behind the grill but then changed my mind.

Yea, I love hot foods and eat them all the time. I figured it would not be a big deal. I was wrong. The winner ate 15. I ate 4. Some guys gave up after 1. LOL. I regretted it for sure.

I watched my dingdong brother do that once at a place that you had to sign a medical waiver in order to eat them. He thought, oh yeah I’m a tough guy I can do it! And as we watched him crumble by wing 2 1/2 and run to the bathroom, I just chuckled! and have never forgotten the look on his face at the point of break. Lol

Yea, maybe one day I will learn to stop doing stupid shit like that. Maybe.

Ok, couple more questions. So the parts that you actually cut and that can be cut with the hack saw blade, without removing the lower grill, what parts are those again? Do brackets come with this mount that attach to the truck to the two existing bolts on the outboard side of the aluminum impact attenuator? Then you attach the light bar mounting assembly to those brackets? And those brackets require cutting the air flow channeling trim pieces? Also, you originally said you had the mount forward as far as it would go. Did you ever move it closer to the grill? Oh, and I'm sorry for all the questions, did you have to relocate your license plate and remove the OEM bracket to mount this product?

    Thanks again Doug.

The questions are fine, that’s why I started the thread!

I will try to answer them in order. The first question, the part you’re not removing and are cutting with the hacksaw blade, is the lower grill that the light bar mount is passes through. And I cut just a sliver out of the horizontal rip to let the bracket pass through.

    #2
Yes all of the mounting brackets come with the N-fab light bar.

    #3
Yes the airflow channels do need to be cut for clearance of the brackets in behind the front grill, but where I show it being cut not the way they show it so that you can still use all of the locking tabs that are originally there.

    #4
I ended up leaving the mount out all the way forward like I started.

    #5
I had originally mounted my license plate where you see it. So that was not an obstacle for me, but it does look like it would clear.
