N-Fab nerf bars

I've been thinking about getting a set of these with the steps. My concern is the steps catching on stuff. Don't do radical wheeling but do alot hunting in the mountains. Would I be better off with sliders?

What kind of "stuff"? Grasses and branches? No problem. Boulders and downed trees? Yeah, not ideal.

 

You can also get the N-fab Rock Rails which are still bolt on like running boards or such but have removable steps.

 

Sliders. Read reviews before you buy to ensure they provide protection and are not cosmetic. You don't want your truck damaged worse because you hit something with than without. Here is a good place to compare.
