    Just as an update to this, when I contacted N-Fab directly, they told me I would have to go through runningboardwarehouse.com since I bought through them. So I started that process, and they have been essentially acting as a go-between with N-Fab and I. They are being RMA'd at no cost to me. I am very pleased with the process so far - I got the RMA and FedEx return label in under a week from first contact, with frequent updates from the rep at RBW. The worst part was boxing those monstrosities up, it's a good thing we have a half-decent shipping department at my work.

    When the new ones comes, I will probably look into taking some additional steps to help prevent them from rusting in the first place.

    POR isn't UV stable, so you'll need to paint on top of them as well.
