I just received and installed my n-Fab side steps on my 2008 Sport DC 4x4, and have a couple of comments and one question.

    Comments:
    1. Build quality looks great, as I expected.
    2. I am a bit disappointed by the plastic end caps in the tubes. With the price and quality reputation, I expected them to come with welded steel end caps to seal the tubes to keep moisture out.

    Question:
    1. The side steps I received did not have the correct front bracket configuration for both OEM bolt locations. Only the bottom bolt hole can be used. The bracket is not made to use the upper bolt holes. It is made in the same bolt pattern as the middle and rear brackets. Has anyone else run across this problem? I'm concerned about only using one bolt in the front bracket.

I have sent an email to n-Fab customer support inquiring about the bracket issue. We'll see how it goes.

I had N-Fab steps on my Tacoma and now my 4Runner. The front bracket is the same as you described. I haven't had any issues.

Thanks for responding. I've had other tube steps in the past and the brackets matched the OEM bolt hole locations. I'm a big guy, so I'm a bit concerned about it. And with how much they cost, it should be engineered correctly.
