If I search for my wife's car, a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport ES, only two tires come up. Usually a Wrangler and a cheapo tire. If I search for 215-70-16, I get a ton of tires, but they say they don't fit the car. Can someone explain this to me? Is there a reason they won't fit the car?

She has a leak in her front driver tire and she's at 40k on her stock Yokohamas. They're loud as hell and we feel it's time to replace them.

Look at the tire ratings for the 2 recommended tires and the others, it probably has to do with speed ratings, load capacity or some other silly reason that the retailer doesn't want to be responsible for. I had a BMW and Pep Boys refused to put any tire in it except those that met or exceeded the factory specifications, but they would sell me any time I wanted and mount and balance them on the factory wheels if I "claimed" it was for a trailer.

If it is a DD, put the recommended size on it and be happy.
