N2 Designs 2016-2022 Tacoma 3x OEM FOB Plug n Play Remote Starter Kit (AT & MT) + Smart Module

I wanted to post on this thread as a thank you to N2DesignsInc and Jimmy as well as make sure that anyone in this forum with a question on remote start doesn't hesitate going with N2. I really wanted a remote start on my Tacoma and I have a 2020 TRD Offroad and this is my first NEW vehicle and I have been scared and hesitant to install a remote start on my own due to never wanting to mess with wires or snip anything. So I reached out directly to N2 via their website to try and get more information on the new full Plug'N'Play kit for the 2020, long story short I actually just installed one of the first full Plug'N'Play kits!! I want to go through a couple things: 1. the customer service of N2Designs is as amazing as everyone states in this forum, Jimmy actually texted and talked with me over the phone this weekend when I had a couple questions to make sure everything went smooth. That is better customer service than I get at 95% of businesses I interact with. 2. The full Plug'N'Play kit was extremely easy to install and it made me much more comfortable installing it without having to snip any wires! 3. The product works great and just as expected and if anyone has any hesitations at all on anything just ask! The N2 team is extremely diligent, quick to respond, and knowledgeable. I cannot stress how their help made me way more comfortable altering my brand new expensive vehicle!

 

Jimmy, is there a way to connect the N2 remote started to the heated mirrors on a 2017 Tacoma? I would like the mirrors to come on automatically when started remotely.

 

I just added the N2 smartphone module in my ‘19 TRD OR. Jimmy was so patient and helped me programmed the module. I’m so glad I went the N2 route. Thx again Jimmy!

 

Can’t wait to grab one of these up for Black Friday. Imma be watching this thread like crazy.

 

Not unless you find out how to do the "always on mod" so when the vehicle starts, it comes on...but then you'll have to contend with that in the summer so maybe a switch in line on the "always on" mod. Similar to the ECT always on mod. Checkout @MESO 's ECT always on mod/kit he and scour this forum. If you're techy and have the time or feel the need out weighs the project, it is doable.

Quick question if I buy the remote start for my 2018 with the phone app can my phone and my wife’s phone both download the app and have all the access to it for my truck?

 

You sure can. You guys can share the same login credentials which gives you maximum access (she can access the GPS feature) or else you can create your own account, she can create her own, then you can share access (and revoke it) as you please. This method will not give her GPS tracking of the vehicle...choose wisely as there is no going back one the wifey has seen the GPS feature...tread lightly my friend, tread lightly...

Bought my last weekend and couldn't wait til Friday to install it... power went out and out came the flashlight.

My only complaint, the instructions that came with both the module and smart kit, were printed at the end of the ink/toner cartridge... the background was saturated and color off making it hard to read by flashlight.

Beyond the above, The new 2020-2021 Tacoma (push start) plug and play was the second easiest thing I've ever installed into a truck after floormats. Granted I have to go back in and re-program the smart module as it does not receive commands from my phone app. N2Designs' website outlines the fix simply enough.

For those waiting for blackfriday, cave-in like I did, you won't regret not waiting.

What is the shipping option to Canada? USPS, ups, FedEx etc

 

USPS First Class International then when it crosses it becomes Canada Post.
