Awesome addon to my Tacoma. Very straightforward and thanks for pre programming the phone module!

 

Looking for some help, definitely love my N2 but depending on where it is parked sometimes it doesn’t get signal, anyone have pics on places they have put the antenna/module that gets reliable reception? Post numbers in this thread would be awesome too!

 

I have mine (velcroed with some wire harness) right behind here. I could be wrong but the signal is depending on your cell service. I think it’s using 4G LTE. Do you have any other aftermarket electronic gadgets near it? Not sure if the module can be reset…hope you get a better signal. I love mine. Let us know.

 

That is where mine is as well - except back towards the firewall, I like the idea of bringing it forward and I’ll give it a shot today!

 

How do I get in touch with support? I called the toll-free number on the website and left a message on Tuesday but haven't gotten a call back yet. I installed it and programmed the module but my remote start isn't working. The module flashes blue when the click the lock button, so I am pretty sure it's linked. I didn't cut the TPMS wire, but I thought that would only prevent me from unlocking it with the remote.

 

I read through most of the thread but high chance I missed it since I'm on my 3rd IPA.

But is there a feature on the smart app that allows the truck to lock automatically when you walk away from it (a la Elon Musk)?

 

No

You can remote lock, unlock, and start (and stop) via the app (and have gps!). But no automatic locking.

 

I know this is old but wondering if you were able to get it working. I’m having same issue. I can see the module flash blue all 3 times I hit the lock button but nothing happened.

 

I've been having a weird issue with my cell start module. Checking to see if anybody else has started experiencing the same issue.

It works...but like it doesn't update all the time and if I am trying to lock or unlock the truck, I have to press it multiple times for it to go through. When the trucks locked, it'll show it unlocked...until I lock it via the app after several attempts. I 99.9% use the cell module to check if the truck is locked or to lock it...but now I can't really do that reliably, which sucks!

I've tried disconnecting the module and plugging it back in, which fixed it for a few minutes then it went back to being unreliable.

 

I’ve had it installed for over a month now. The carlink app shows GPS but does not allow for me to use anything as intended. I’ve tried unplugging and following the steps over and over again without any luck.

 

I have an N2 designs remote starter installed on my 19 but lately I have been accidentally leaning on the button while it's in my pocket or whatever and it inadvertently remote starts..

any suggestions on how to prevent this?

I’m having an issue where all was going well, really enjoying the product but after disconnecting and reconnecting my battery for other work I only have a single red LED on the control box and no connectivity. Not sure if this can be fixed? I’ve called a couple of times to N2 and submitted a ticket but I’m sure they’re busy with holiday sales.
Any suggestions?
It’s a 2017, automatic with the H-Key. If there are reset options or a way to resynchronize the key to the unit I’m all ears!! (I don’t have the cellular option just the standard remote starter)


Edit: James called me back and got me squared away. Ultimately a warranty item, but he walked me through the steps and provided INCREDIBLE customer service!! Can’t recommend this company enough !!

 

What was the fix? I just changed both my remote batteries and now neither will work @N2DesignsInc
